As expected, veteran power forward Udonis Haslem re-signed with the Miami Heat. As such, long-time teammate, good friend, and business partner Dwyane Wade sent out a message.

Via Twitter, Wade congratulated his buddy for his upcoming 16th year in donning the Heat jersey:

The Heat is the only franchise that Haslem has been with since entering the league as an undrafted prospect back in 2002. Team president Pat Riley said:

“It’s great to have our captain back,” said Heat President Pat Riley. “We’re looking forward to having UD back for his 16th season with the Heat.”

In 15 years in Miami, Haslem has won three NBA championships. He won his first ring in 2006 with a Heat team led by Wade, Shaquille O'Neal, and a bunch of veterans. Fast forward to the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, Haslem snagged two more rings, this time under the leadership of LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Wade.

Though Haslem has never lighted-up the stat sheets like his fellow Heat legends, he has garnered praise for his leadership, veteran voice, and significant playoff experience. His 15-year stint with the Heat is currently the second-longest streak by any active player with only one team in the league. The first, of course, belongs to Dirk Nowitzki who's been with the Dallas Mavericks for 19 years.
