Grammy-nominated artist Demi Lovato took the headlines today, albeit for a very unfortunate reason, as it has been reported that the singer was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles after allegedly suffering from a drug overdose, per TMZ.

Demi Lovato was rushed to an L.A. hospital after suffering what appears to be a heroin overdose, law enforcement tells TMZ.

Upon hearing of the news, plenty of celebrities have also taken to social media to express their concern and support for Demi Lovato, who has a history of drug use prior to the latest incident.

Among the personalities that sent prayers for Lovato is Miami Heat legend and current NBA free agent Dwyane Wade.

It’s a nice gesture from Wade, who’s well-acquainted with the world of show business since his wife, Gabrielle Union, is a product of the industry. Wade should also be encouraged by a recent update by TMZ that Lovato is now “awake and responsive.”

Wade is still undecided on his future in the NBA. The door remains open for him to return to Miami, but he also reportedly has a lucrative offer from a Chinese ball club worth $20 million.

In 67 games last season, split between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Heat, Dwyane Wade averaged 11.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.
