Besides acquiring four-time NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler, the Miami Heat's other major offseason acquisition came in the form of Tyler Herro, their 2019 draft selection.

Herro was taken by the Heat with the 13th overall pick after a single season under Coach John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard has been lauded in college as an immaculate perimeter shooter, but he stands to face his next challenge at the pro level due to his size.

However, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra doesn't seem to be concerned about Herro's defense and height, noting that the 19-year-old rookie can impact winning in other ways.

“There are no obstacles for Tyler going into camp. He just needs to put his head down, work with his teammates, be prepared and learn about our system and culture,” Spoelstra told Shandel Richardson of The Athletic. “If he can help us win, then he will have great opportunities ahead for him.”

The Heat have playoff aspirations with Jimmy Butler in the fold, so Herro needs to adjust quickly and show Spoelstra that he deserves a spot in Miami's regular guard rotation.

Herro has been recently voted by his fellow rookies as the best shooter in his class. Now, he need to get out and prove that it's more than just talk.
