The Miami Heat survived a furious challenge by the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, with the home team barely edging out the Hawks in a thrilling overtime contest, 135-121. Heat big man Bam Adebayo was absolutely amazing in this one, logging a 30-point, 11-rebound, and 11-assist triple double in 44 minutes of action.

Following the win, Heat teammate Goran Dragic was asked to compare Adebayo to any other player in the league today. The veteran point guard had to take some time to think about his response, but eventually landed on Golden State Warriors All-Star Forward Draymond Green. According to Dragic, though, Adebayo is a bigger (and better?) version of Green.

“But Bam is bigger,” Dragic said, via Michael Pina of SBNation. “He can pass, he can score, he can defend. There’s not a lot of big guys in this league who can do that.”

Now on his third season in the league, the 6-foot-9 big man is having a breakout year for the Heat. Currently, the 22-year-old is averaging 15.3 points (on 59.1 percent shooting), 10.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.2 blocks.

Adebayo's all-around game admittedly has some semblance to that of Green's, and his ability to stuff the stat sheet is indeed reminiscent of the Dubs star's skill set. Nevertheless, it would be safe to say that at this point in his career, Adebayo is currently not on the same level as the three-time NBA champion just yet. Then again, we must remember that Bam is just 22, and based on what we've seen from him this season, it looks like the sky is the limit for this very promising young man.
