World-famous rapper Rick Ross is known for being extra-large—in every way that one could conceivably imagine. From his hulking size to his extravagant lifestyle to his predictions about sports, he is always over the top. This time, he is acting no different with regards to his favorite basketball team, the Miami Heat.

During Thursday's home loss to the Boston Celtics, Ross was interviewed courtside, and had this to say about the Heat (via Bleacher Report):

Ross certainly has his sights set high for the Heat, and why not? Just two years ago the team won the Eastern Conference trophy and took the eventual champion Los Angeles Lakers to six games in the NBA Finals. They have since added Kyle Lowry to a roster that is also seeing a huge leap from young guard Tyler Herro and as always, the magical play of Jimmy Butler.

With impressive wins to start the year over several contenders, the Heat have been riding high when Ross made his declaration. Judging by the final score, however, maybe he was a jinx.

If the Heat continue playing the way they've been doing this season, amassing a 6-2 start, they may be more than just one of the greatest teams out right now, they might even end up being the NBA champion. The first steps in anything, however, are baby steps. Losing at home to a Celtics squad that was reeling from the inside out may end up having Ross reconsider his take as to who he thinks is the superior team in the NBA.
