Miami Heat shooting guard Josh Richardson got ejected from their game Sunday night against the Los Angeles Lakers for a very odd reason. Apparently, Richardson was taken out of the game after throwing his own shoe into the stands.

Here is a video showing a very frustrated Josh Richardson throwing his shoe.

This is something that rarely happens during a game.

Josh Richardson has been having an impressive season for the Heat. It's been a breakout year for him as he is averaging 20.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.1 steals after his first 15 contests for the Heat this season. He is also shooting 44.5 percent from the field and 44.8 percent from three.

Richardson had 17 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block against the Lakers. With the 113-97 loss, the Heat moved to 6-10 on the season. The team has now lost two straight games.

The Heat may be struggling as a whole on the court, but they do have a couple of bright spots on the roster, which includes Josh Richardson.

He may not be at a superstar level yet, but he contributes to the team in a lot of ways and makes winning plays. In fact, should he continue his stellar play and the Heat garners more wins prior to the All-Star break, he could be in serious consideration for a spot in the main spectacle of the NBA's midseason event.
