With their backs against the wall, the Miami Heat successfully tied the series after emerging victorious in Game 6 against the Boston Celtics with a 111-103 victory. A huge game from Jimmy Butler allowed the team to get back in the thick of things and force a Game 7 on their home floor.

Through six games, it was evident how both teams have shown that they are capable of surviving this series and advancing to the next round. With that said, Game 7 will surely be anyone's ball game and the outcome of the tilt can go either way. However, Erik Spoelstra's squad can be considered advantageous in certain aspects which may just help them gain the edge in the final game of this series.

Let's take a look at three reasons the Heat will overcome the Celtics in Game 7 to return to the NBA Finals after a one-year absence.

3 reasons Heat will beat Celtics in Game 7

3. Game 7 will be played on Miami's home floor.

By being the top seed in the Eastern Conference, the Heat have garnered home-court advantage in each of their playoff matchups this season. This includes Game 7 of the Conference Finals against the Celtics.

Certainly enough, playing in a familiar environment will give the Heat a significant advantage, especially in a crucial game with huge stakes on the line. However, they still can't be too complacent because the Celtics have proven their resiliency and ability to bounce back all season long. Historically speaking, the Boston-based squad has also been the best team to play in Game 7s, according to The Sporting News. They've appeared in 34 and won 25 of them to account for a 73.5 winning percentage.

Now, the Heat must do the work and make sure that they will get to maximize their home-court advantage in their upcoming do-or-die tilt to finally book their trip to the NBA Finals once again this season.

2. The momentum is on the Heat's side heading to the final game of the series.

After a disappointing Game 5 loss, the Heat bounced back and put up a stellar showing in Game 6. It wasn't a one-sided affair but Miami executed better in the closing stages of the game to force a winner-take-all Game 7 against the Celtics.

In Game 5, the Heat's entire starting five went cold as no starter reached double-digits in scoring. In Game 6, they bounced back and got more rhythm on offense to avoid elimination in this series. Jimmy Butler led his team with a playoff-best 47 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. Kyle Lowry and Max Strus both had meager outputs in Game 5. However, they saw much better offensive outings this time around as they ended with 18 and 13 points, respectively.

P.J. Tucker also added 11 points and five rebounds of his own to lift the Heat to a crucial win. The team still has ways to go in terms of getting consistent production from their supporting cast, especially from Bam Adebayo who once again struggled after being limited to only six points in Game 6.

Moreover, they also need to buckle down on the other end of the floor as they aim to contain the scoring outputs of Jayson Tatum. Though there is still room for improvement, the momentum is clearly on the Heat's side heading to Game 7. They must ensure that they will get to sustain their rhythm and do the right things once again to successfully come out on top of their opponents in the final game of the series.

1. Erik Spoelstra's squad has more playoff experience.

The Celtics may have tenured vets in Al Horford and Marcus Smart who both have played in several playoff games through the years. Younger players in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have also earned significant playoff experience despite still being at the early stages of their careers.

Compared to them, the Heat are still more experienced in terms of playing in crucial games at this stage of the season. Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry both had their moments during the playoffs in recent memory. Miami's roster that went to the NBA Finals back in 2019-20 was also kept intact which includes the likes of key players in Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, and Duncan Robinson.

Experienced guys like P.J. Tucker and Victor Oladipo are also now on board to help the Heat in their postseason campaign. Having a group of players that knows how to get things done in the playoffs is certainly a huge factor that will enable most teams to not fall apart in crucial situations, especially in a do-or-die game. Hopefully, the Heat will be able to channel that and use it to their advantage as they aim to close out another series and finally return to the championship stage once again.
