The Golden State Warriors may be one of the best teams in the NBA today but legendary Laker, James Worthy, believes his 80's team would have taken it right to them.
Los Angeles Lakers‘ great James Worthy recently shared his thoughts about the “Showtime” Lakers being able to win against the current Dubs squad.
He made valid points, naming some of his former teammates and the reason they would have made life very difficult for Stephen Curry and company.
“If you’re Steph Curry, you’re going to have to guard me or Magic Johnson, there’s no other way around it. We put in lineups to expose you on the other end. Then we bring in a guy like Michael Cooper, who’s the “minister of defense,” Byron Scott was another one. If we played the way we played, which was physical and clean but tough, I just don’t think it would be a contest.”
Earlier in the year Magic Johnson also spoke about his belief that that same Lakers squad would beat the modern day Warriors.

Seeing these two teams go up against each other would obviously be impossible, but just the thought of witnessing past and future Hall-of-Famers guarding one another and would definitely be something a basketball fan wouldn't want to miss.
