The New York Jets are currently playing against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football. After lighting up the Cincinnati Bengals in his first NFL start, fans were excited to see Mike White under center again. Unfortunately, things have taken a turn for the worst.

According to Connor Hughs, Mike White went into the “blue medical tent.” This is typically not a great sign, as this means the medical staff is evaluating White.

Right now, Josh Johnson enters the field to fill in for Mike White. The Jets are down to their third-string quarterback, as Zach Wilson is out with an injury of his own. It's almost like the Jets aren't allowed to have nice things. As soon as any form of excitement comes out of New York, it appears to be taken away almost immediately.

White hurt his hand on his throwing arm, which isn't ideal for the Jets' backup quarterback. This franchise is already in a tough spot, but they could be putting a non-quarterback under center if Josh Johnson goes down to injury.

The medical staff continues to evaluate Mike White. He's gripping the ball and talking with his coaches on the sideline, hoping he can be given the green light to return to the game. This is a situation that must be monitored, but for now, Mike White is officially questionable to return.

Indianapolis holds a 14-7 lead as of this writing and looks determined to bounce back with a win after suffering a devastating loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 8. As for New York, they look to string together two consecutive wins in a row, which would be huge for the Jets right now.

We'll see what happens, as Mike White's health status hangs in the balance. If he can return, the Jets have a chance to defeat the Colts. If not, this could turn into a long evening.
