Kanye West, one of the world's most famous musicians, has announced that he is “adding basketball” to his Yeezy sneaker line.

Naturally, per law of social media and 2018, he made the announcement on the mean streets of Twitter.

No one yet knows if the sketches that accompany the tweet are the actual shoes or not, but my guess is a no… but that's only because people can't wear sketches. They can only wear actual shoes.

Dad jokes. I got them.

Anyway, Kanye West's shoe stuff goes through Adidas. The shoe company having the musician is a big deal, especially as other shoe companies are attempting to do battle with the big boys of Nike and Adidas. Notably, Pumas, of all shoe companies, landed several notable 2018 NBA Draft prospects who will now try to help the brand reach new heights.

No news on if And One is making a comeback.

Dad jokes. I still got (bad) ones.

While the post-Michael Jordan era saw customers prefer comfort and style over celebrity endorsements, the last few years saw shoe companies adjust to trying to pair their best spokespeople with their best shoes. It wasn't always the case, as some really talented players promoted some incredibly awful shoes.
