Luka Doncic silenced all the noise on Friday night against the Pacers. After a week that saw him get into an argument with JJ Reddick and rumors swirling due to the incident, the Slovenian let the ball do the talking.
With LeBron James and DeAndre Ayton watching from the sidelines, the Slovenian superstar turned Crypto.com Arena into his personal playground, dismantling the Indiana Pacers in a 130-111 blowout that wasn't even as close as the score suggests.
Doncic conducted a masterclass. In just 32 minutes of action, the Lakers superstar poured in 44 points on an efficient 14-of-25 shooting from the field. He set the tone early with a blistering 22-point first quarter, hitting a perfect 5-of-5 from beyond the arc. Luka filled every column of the stat sheet, finishing with nine rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks.

The Indiana Pacers simply had no answer for the “Luka Magic” show. Even with Pascal Siakam leading the Pacers with 26 points and five rebounds, Indiana couldn't overcome the scoring outburst from the Slovenian. Whenever the Pacers tried to mount a run, Luka would bury a signature step-back triple or find a cutting teammate to squash the momentum.
He didn't do it entirely alone, though. Austin Reaves stepped up in the starting lineup, contributing 19 points and five assists, while Jaxson Hayes provided a much-needed interior presence with 9 points and four rebounds. Still, this was the Luka Dončić show from start to finish. He proved that even without the King, the Lakers are a championship-caliber threat as long as he’s steering the ship. If this 44-point outburst is a preview of what's coming in the postseason, the Lakers are in very good hands.
