CBS Sports Radio host Brandon Tierney tweeted a post on Sunday morning suggesting that New York Knicks forward Julius Randle is already better than former NBA veteran Chris Bosh at his peak. His unpopular opinion eventually sparked a discussion among basketball fans who had plenty to say about the topic.

Tierney doubled down on his take and even claimed that Randle can also win when he is put in Bosh's previous position where he played alongside LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. Furthermore, he defended his stance by saying that the current Randle has been more impactful than peak Bosh ever was.

A Knicks beat writer for the New York Daily News in Stefan Bondy took Bosh's side and claimed that the power forward previously carried the Toronto Raptors to a third seed while also earning All-NBA honors back in 2007. On the other hand, Randle has yet to reach the same level of success both from a team and individual standpoint in his career thus far.

Moreover, the Twitter universe continued to blast Tierney for his outrageous comment and also roasted Knicks fans while doing so.

In Randle's defense, it can't be denied that he is balling out at another level this season. His averages of 23.2 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists even earned him the first All-Star selection of his career. In addition, his solid production remains to be a huge reason as to why the Knicks are currently finding themselves in the Eastern Conference playoff race with a 17-17 record.

However, putting him on a higher pedestal as compared to a great player like Bosh isn't a realistic thing to say at this point in time. The former Georgia Tech standout impacted the game in more ways than one and successfully served as an integral piece in multiple championship runs with the Heat. Even before his stint in Miami, Bosh was already a star in the league with the Raptors where he earned four straight All-Star nods.

The Knicks may be having an incredible campaign in the 2020-21 season but suggesting that Julius Randle is already better than Chris Bosh seems ridiculous at this point. Perhaps the 26-year-old forward will have to perform better and attain more success on the court in order to make the claim more logical to think about.
