It’s no secret that the New York Knicks are currently struggling and that their season has not gone according to plan. Losing 11 of their last 12 outings, they have had very few reasons to cheer about, and will likely be headed to the lottery once again. That may be the case, but Jeff Hornacek is still not going to change the Knicks' starting lineup, and even gave a very intriguing reason for it.

When asked why he’s not going to shake things up with essentially nothing to play for anymore, the veteran head coach said it’s because of “certain things.” However, he also opted not to expound on it, according to Chris Iseman of The Record.

Entering the season, there was a lot of belief that the Knicks could finally make a return to the playoffs. They had a decent start to the year but slowly faded, before seeing things go from bad to worse, when their best player, Kristaps Porzingis, suffered an ACL tear and was ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.

It remains to be seen what exactly Hornacek meant with his statement and if his current starting lineup can bring them a win on Sunday against the Sacramento Kings. With both teams struggling, it could turn out to be an evenly-matched contest and it will give the winning team some momentum heading into their final games of the season, which they can also take with them next year as they look to turn their fortunes around.
