In what was supposed to be a big summer, the New York Knicks' biggest acquisition turned out to be Julius Randle. While plenty of Knicks fans were disappointed with the team's failure to lure a top star into the team, the big man declared to everyone that he is more than ready to wear the orange and blue.

The Knicks released a video on their Twitter account to hype the arrival of Randle. It was a straightforward message meant to get fans pumped for the coming season.

The video presented footage of Randle working out on his body and his basketball skills. It also showed snaps of Madison Square Garden and Knicks fans that faithfully show up to their games.

Overlapping the video was Randle's message for the fans, and anyone who bleeds New York cannot help but feel great with his words:

“Dear New York. I'm on my way. Y'all ready to get this going? I am. This is exactly where I wanted to be. New York City. Basketball's greatest stage. This is where I wanted to perform. And I'm so excited to be here. It's honestly a dream come true.”

He also emphasized that he is ready to put on the work for the Knicks and to make MSG his home.

“I'm ready to hear the Garden erupt. I'm ready to get out there. I'm ready to put on a show. I'm ready to call New York my home. I'm ready to ball out for this city. I promise you. New York forever.”

Randle may not be a remarkable name in a league where giants like LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo dominate. However, he showed in the 2018-19 campaign with the New Orleans Pelicans that he is a very talented baller. He finished last season with 21.4 points a night on 52.4 percent shooting. He also grabbed 8.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game

He may not be the superstar player the Knicks were hoping for, but he will definitely play hard for the team.
