Since suffering a torn ACL, not a lot of news has been reported about New York Knicks big man Kristaps Porzingis. He was seen walking without crutches earlier this month, but no update has been released about his recovery. That changed recently though, as news on the All-Star forward has now emerged.

Porzingis’ recovery is apparently going well. He also said that he is getting better every day, which is a good sign for the New York faithful, according to Al Iannazonne of News Day.

However, it has also been reported that he still remains without a timetable for a return, according to Ian Begley of ESPN.

Porzingis suffered his season-ending injury back in February 6, during a game against the Milwaukee Bucks. After he posterized Giannis Antetokounmpo, he immediately fell to the floor and was clearly in a lot of pain. He was then brought to their locker room before heading to the hospital, where an MRI revealed the devastating news to him. If everything goes according to plan and he does not suffer any setbacks, he could be available to play once next season starts.

His absence has been felt by the Knicks, and are missing his services badly. They are currently losers of seven in a row, dropping their record to 24-43 for the season, good only for 11th in the Eastern Conference. What started as a promising campaign for the team has turned into a nightmare for them, but for now, they can just look ahead and focus on the positives, especially having their best player back and having a chance to add some key pieces in the summer.
