The New York Knicks have been a walking disaster on and off the court under owner James Dolan, but it hasn't impacted the team's value.

According to Forbes, the Knicks are still the most valuable team in the NBA at $4 billion. The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors are the two other NBA teams in the top-10. The Lakers are worth $3.7 billion and the Warriors are worth $3.5 billion.

The Knicks' high value wasn't able to net them star free agents this summer, as New York didn't land Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving or Kawhi Leonard. To make matters even worse for the Knicks, they lost Durant and Irving to the other team in New York City, the Brooklyn Nets.

After missing out on KD and Irving, the Knicks signed Julius Randle, Bobby Portis, Taj Gibson, Elfrid Payton, Wayne Ellington, Reggie Bullock and Marcus Morris. New York's young core is headlined by RJ Barrett, Kevin Knox, Dennis Smith Jr., Mitchell Robinson and Allonzo Trier. Even in the wide-open Eastern Conference, the Knickerbockers are still a long ways away from being a playoff team.

Somewhere in New York right now, James Dolan is smiling at the fact his team is worth a whopping $4 billion. Knicks fans want to see a winner on the basketball court, but as long as Dolan is the owner, that may not be possible.
