For the first time in their rich history, the New York Knicks have suffered their first back-to-back 30-point losses.

Per NBA analyst Tommy Beer, the Knicks' consecutive 30+ point losses are the first in their 74-year-old franchise.

Against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, the Knicks were pummeled 129-92. Only three players scored in double figures: Mitchell Robinson with 17 points, Marcus Morris and Bobby Portis with 10 points each. As a team, the David Fizdale-coached squad shot just 41 percent from the field and 26.5 percent from deep. They just grabbed 33 rebounds while the Nuggets snagged 48.

Against the Milwaukee Bucks, they were punished with a final score of 132-88. Only three players scored in double figures: Julius Randle with 19, Damyean Dotson with 15, and Allonzo Trier with 10. As a team, they shot at a horrendous clip: 30.8 percent from the field and 25.6 from deep.

The Knicks have lost eight straight games and currently sport a 4-18 record — the second-worst in the league next to the Golden State Warriors. While it's still early in the year, analysts have already given up on their chances to turn things around. Fans welcomed the season with a lot of hope, especially since the team beefed up their roster in the draft and through free-agent signings. But from the looks of it, the Knicks are headed to another season of disappointment.
