The New York Knicks really want Purdue standout Jaden Ivey at No. 11 in the 2022 NBA Draft. Problem is, he's expected to go in the top five and as of right now, the Sacramento Kings are the likely landing spot at No. 4. That being said, the Knicks are doing everything imaginable to trade up and get that selection.

SNY's Ian Begley revealed that NY is considering the idea of offering multiple first-round picks to the Kings for fourth overall, but no deal has been struck yet:

It would take a significant price. People in touch with Sacramento say that in the club’s conversations with New York, the Knicks have talked about offering multiple first-round picks in a package for the No. 4 pick. I don’t know which players were offered, but it wasn’t enough to lock a deal in.

Negotiations with the Kings for the No. 4 pick will probably extend into Thursday evening. Sacramento doesn’t have to trade the pick; why wouldn’t the Kings wait until the final hour to see what the best offer looks like?

Begley also mentioned that Sac-Town would likely want another player from the Knicks as well like Immanuel Quickley, Quentin Grimes, or Obi Toppin. That feels quite risky for New York to part ways with multiple firsts and a promising young prospect for a guy who is undoubtedly talented but has yet to prove himself at the NBA level.

We shall see what happens come Thursday night. Like always, all options are on the table for the Knicks. That's how Leon Rose operates.
