If the Houston Rockets put point guard Russell Westbrook on the trade block this offseason, the New York Knicks could look to acquire the former MVP.

While Westbrook probably doesn't want to get traded for the second straight offseason, some around the NBA believe the explosive guard would “embrace” playing for the Knicks and living in New York, per Marc Berman of the New York Post.

Some people in the league believe Russell Westbrook would embrace playing in the Big Apple, the fashion capital of the world. A West Coast guy, Westbrook’s top hobby is fashion.

As everyone knows, Westbrook loves fashion and wears some of the craziest outfits you'll ever see. At the tail end of his Hall of Fame career, the former UCLA Bruin could star for the Knicks as the team's No. 1 option on offense and expand his growing fashion business along the way.

The Knicks are under new leadership in president Leon Rose and head coach Tom Thibodeau. The franchise is in desperate need of a superstar to play in the Big Apple and Westbrook certainly fits that bill even though he's not efficient in his scoring.

Moving forward, Westbrook is owed $41,358,814 in 2020-21, $44,211,146 in 2021-22 and has a player option worth $47,063,478 for the 2022-23 season, one which he will surely pick up.

It's going to be fascinating to see if the Rockets trade Westbrook this offseason and if the Knicks acquire him. The last All-Star to play for New York was Carmelo Anthony.
