As the great Wayne Gretzky said, you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take. However, New York Knicks big man Kristaps Porzingis recently learned the hard way that not everything you take goes in either.
Known to be active on his social media accounts, especially on Instagram, the 7-foot-3 Latvian international attempted to hit a big shot when he commented on a Croatian model Ines Nikic’s post a heart emoji.
After seeing Porzingis’ comment, instead of being flattered by it, she shot him down immediately by posting a photo of her kissing her boyfriend. To add insult to injury, she even included the caption “Are you sleeping peacefully at night, Kristaps?” in Croatian.

Porzingis may be having an impressive NBA career so far with two solid seasons under his belt now, but his pickup game still leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea for him to do a little research first before making a move on any Instagram model next time, or better yet, not make any comments visible to everyone, to avoid getting embarrassed publicly once again.
