The NBA preseason game is the perfect venue for coaches to run some plays they practiced in their training camp and build on their team's conditioning and chemistry. It also gives the players a chance to show off what they worked on during the summer.

On Monday night, New York Knicks second-year forward Kristaps Porzingis appeared to have added a new move to his already impressive arsenal. Trying to shake off his defender for an open jumper, the 7-foot-2 Latvian pulled off a nasty crossover that erased Washington Wizards big man Jason Smith out of the play:

Given his rare combination of height plus a consistent outside shot, Porzingis proved to be one of the toughest matchups for opposing coaches last season. Now with improved handles, it makes it even more difficult to for defenders to stay in front of him.

With the ability to get himself open added to his arsenal, the Knicks are ecstatic to see the continuous development on the 21-year-old's game.
