Anthony Davis has missed a couple of games recently for the Los Angeles Lakers due to what's been described as an Achilles injury and it was unknown when he suffered it. However, as he prepares to make a comeback soon, Davis revealed that he first dealt with soreness in his calf weeks ago, via The Athletic's Jovan Buha.

Davis shared that the first discomfort in his calf occurred around two weeks ago. Despite the soreness he was experiencing, Davis decided to try and play through the injury, causing it to worsen.

As a result of his calf ailment, Davis has missed the past two games for the Lakers, with both games coming against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Los Angeles would win both games as they've now been part of three consecutive games that have gone into overtime.

Before the calf injury, Davis was off to one of the slowest starts of his career on the offensive end. In his first 21 games, Davis notched 22.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. While he is shooting an impressive 53 percent from the floor, he is shooting only 31.5 percent from beyond the arc, which is the worst mark of his career since the 2016-17 season.

At the moment, the Lakers appear to be taking a cautious approach with Davis as he battles back from a calf injury. The All-Star forward will likely test his calf tomorrow to see if he can play. If Los Angeles determines that he's ready to return, then Davis could be back in time to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday.
