Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Avery Bradley has changed agents, per Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, an indicator he might decline his $5 million player option.

Bradley told Charania he is changing representation and signing with Charles Briscoe, who also represents Lakers center Dwight Howard.

The 29-year-old won a championship this past season with the Lakers, though he did not partake in the NBA restart.

Bradley chose not to head to Orlando amid the discussions regarding player safety and prioritizing matters of social justice. He will, however, receive a championship ring, as Lakers GM Rob Pelinka previously stated.

Los Angeles appeared to miss Bradley's backcourt defense and shooting early in the restart.

Bradley shot 36.4 percent from beyond the arc on 3.5 attempts per game during the regular season, with both he and Danny Green embracing their individual roles as 3-and-D guys.

But the Lakers were lacking in the shooting department in the early goings. Rajon Rondo's absence also loomed large in terms of backcourt depth.

Of course, the Lakers would pull things together, with Rondo's return serving as a major boost in the team's championship effort.

However, Rondo is headed for unrestricted free agency. He very well could have a solid market, even as an aging veteran. If Bradley opts out, the Lakers will once again be at a shortage in the backcourt and could face a pivotal decision as to what player(s) they bring back or guys they might hope to acquire.

It is not a certainty a change in representation will lead to Bradley opting out. But he is sure to gauge his market before making a final decision.
