Brook Lopez has finally arrived at his desired destination. Nine seasons in the league and 29 years have passed since the North Hollywood native has proved to be a Disney fanatic from an early age.

After being drafted 10th overall by the New Jersey Nets in 2008, Lopez had become not only the franchise's leading scorer, but a staple into the lineup before being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in the offseason.

The Stanford standout noted his admiration for new president Magic Johnson, who has been his favorite player of all-time growing up near the area.

“That’s like my top, favorite player of all-time,” Lopez told Joey Ramirez of Lakers.com. “Just meeting him for the first time was like a true geek moment for me. Little Brook meeting Magic Johnson — that’s just insane.”

“Just to be a part of that Laker tradition is really a dream come true. Even looking at this little media (room) background and seeing the Lakers logo in purple and gold — it’s still a trip for me.”

The big dipper is just as excited to play with a generational talent like rookie Lonzo Ball, a willing stellar passer that is constantly looking to find the open man.

“It’s really been exciting … seeing how he thinks, how high of a basketball IQ he has for a player at his position and experience — let alone just in general,” Lopez says.

“…He impresses me with something new every day. I’m just so thrilled to get on the court with him and kind of learn on the fly.”

Due to Ball's dynamic passing ability, the Lakers have focused on conditioning this offseason, making the 270-pound Lopez get in the best running shape of his life to benefit from the fast break dynamo.
