Long-time followers of Russell Westbrook know that the man just cannot avoid giving his 120% every game. The trademark of the newly-acquired Los Angeles Laker is his high-intensity playing style that goes pedal to the metal all them time.

According to Chris Brickley, one of the biggest trainers in the NBA, that intensity is what makes Russ so special. In an appearance on the All the Smoke podcast, Brickley said this about the Lakers point guard.

“Russell Westbrook was one guy that he gives no fu*ks like doesn’t matter who is in front of him every time he’s been to a BlackOps he’s going to destroy you. He’s not going to talk to you. He’s going to be talking shit like and you know I love, I love that Russell BlackOps energy it’s fun.”

Brickley may not be known by casual NBA fans, but the guy is a legend in the league. He's the long-time trainer of many of the NBA's biggest stars, like Kawhi Leonard, Donovan Mitchell, and current Lakers forward Carmelo Anthony. He has helped a ton of players improve their skills and has basically seen it all. He knows exactly what Westbrook brings to the table for the Lakers. Whether it's a 5-on-5 played on Brickley's BlackOps facility or a playoff game, you can always count on Russ to leave it all on the floor.

Lakers fans are hoping that Westbrook can channel that frenetic energy into a championship this season. For now, though, they can rest easy on the fact that the Lakers PG is still refining his skills with one of the best trainers in the league right now.
