Los Angeles Lakers veteran Dwight Howard has been through a lot in his career. At this point, he's reached a certain maturity level wherein he would much rather hash things out as opposed to beefing with his fellow NBA players. As it turns out, this is exactly the case with his current relationship (or lack thereof) with Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul.

In a tell-all interview with Taylor Rooks for Bleacher Report, Howard got brutally honest about his long-standing rivalry with CP3. Apparently, Howard no longer remembers where it all started. All he wants now, however, is to make peace with the Suns point god:

You can clearly feel the sincerity in Howard's message here as the Lakers big man went all philosophical in not wanting to have any beef with anybody. Then again, he still admitted that he gets a nagging feeling of wanting to take off Paul's head whenever they face off against each other on the basketball court. It seems that the feeling is mutual with CP3, too.

Be that as it may, it is clear that Dwight Howard wants to settle his score with Chris Paul. The Lakers veteran is at a point in his career that he no longer wants animosity around him.  Don't mistake this for Howard turning soft, though. He definitely still has that intense competitive spirit within him.
