Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma doesn't need to pack his bags after all.

Former Lakers guard Jordan Clarkson — who is now with the Cleveland Cavaliers — recently teased Kuzma on Twitter amid rumors that the New Orleans Pelicans want him in the Anthony Davis trade. Clarkson joking sent out a tweet to Kuzma telling him to pack his bags — suggesting that he would surely be traded.

However, the Lakers remained firm on their desire to keep the young star and the Pels eventually gave up. The Purple and Gold instead sent Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and three first-round picks for AD.

After the trade, Clarkson again took to Twitter to call out Kuzma. This time, however, he only posted a smirking emoji.

Kuzma will undoubtedly be happy with the latest trade — at least for himself. The 23-year-old has endeared himself to Lakers fans, so keeping him is a wise move for the Purple and Gold.

Not to mention that Kuzma is one of the team's best scorers. He averaged 18.7 points per game last season, second to LeBron James in team scoring. He will likely be moved to the bench with the arrival of AD, but his offense will remain pivotal for the Lakers as they aim for the championship next campaign.
