Barely a week removed from the blockbuster trade of the summer that centered around Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans  new recruit Josh Hart — who went the other way in the aforementioned trade — is already engaging in some smack talk against former Los Angeles Lakers teammate Kyle Kuzma.

Hart started off the friendly banter by stating that he will not be giving Kuzma any special treatment once they meet each other on the basketball court next season.

In true Kuzma fashion, the incoming third-year power forward saw to it that he would not be outdone by Hart.

This was obviously all done in good fun, as these two seemed to have formed a great bond during their time together with the Lakers. However, as Hart so aptly put it, their friendship will be put aside when the Lakers and the Pelicans face off against each other next season. This is definitely going to be one of the most highly-anticipated matchups of the season, and we should expect a bit of fireworks.

Kuzma is considered to be part of the Lakers' young core for the future, and the team's front office proved this by refusing to include the 23-year-old in the Davis trade. Both Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball were deemed more dispensable compared to Kuzma.

Last season, the former 27th overall pick put up 18.7 points (on 45.6 percent shooting), 1.8 three-pointers, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.4 blocks in his sophomore campaign. Kuzma is likewise expected to figure significantly in the team's rotation in the coming season.
