It was an incredibly busy offseason for the Los Angeles Lakers that featured a ton of new pieces coming into the mix and on the roster. The move that gained the most attention was the trade that sent Russell Westbrook from the Washington Wizards to LA.

On Tuesday at Media Day, LeBron James spoke about that move and what the Lakers did as a whole in the offseason with the roster.

The Lakers are coming off a disappointing season a year ago that saw them get bounced in the first round of the playoffs to the Phoenix Suns. They took an aggressive approach into the offseason by adding pieces like Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, Trevor Ariza, Kendrick Nunn, Malik Monk, Dwight Howard and plenty more.

Many have trolled the Lakers for all the “old guys” they have added to the team but the reality is that this team will consistently be one of the favorites to win the title all year as long as their key core stays healthy.

It'll be interesting to see how Frank Vogel splits up minutes and roles early on with all the new names joining the party in LA alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis. One idea that seems to be taking form is playing Davis more at the center position this year. It could open up more opportunities and minutes for other forwards on the team.

Either way, LeBron seems genuinely thrilled about the roster set in place for the Lakers this year as they look to claim another title.
