Coming off a huge win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers faced another difficult test on Wednesday with Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks visiting town. The Lakers, however, took care of business against the Mavericks; thanks to a dominant third quarter effort, the Lakers were able to take home a comfortable 127-110 victory.
There might have been a reason unrelated to the game as to why James and the Lakers looked extra motivated to finish the game quickly. James, following the game, was seen running towards the locker room with a huge smile on his face, screaming out that he had to catch his son's game “real quick” with Bronny James and USC Basketball taking on the Arizona Wildcats in a huge conference matchup.

Bronny James is now a starter for USC basketball, and having earned such a prominent role makes every game of his an even more must-see for LeBron James. After all, Bronny's biggest fan is his father, with the King reportedly saying at one point that the USC guard can easily start for the Lakers amid their rough stretch, and there's no way the NBA's all-time leading scorer was going to miss a single minute of action in his son's game if he has the means to watch.
While Bronny's play has seen marked improvements as of late, as at the time of writing, he has tallied 11 points, five rebounds, and six assists, USC continues to struggle. They have suffered their third defeat in a row, with Arizona finishing up an 82-67 win over USC, and the Lakers star, as proud as he is of his son, will prefer to see Bronny on the winning side of the proceedings, which hasn't happened as often as they would like.
Alas, this season has been a struggle for Bronny and USC basketball; they will try to bounce back on Saturday afternoon when they take on the Arizona State Sun Devils even if it's not looking too promising at the moment for a Trojans team that began the CBB season with plenty of hope.
