Andre Iguodala is currently a member of the Memphis Grizzlies, but players are reportedly telling ESPN's Jackie MacMullen that the 35-year-old forward will wind up in a Lakers uniform this season — if he is waived.

During an episode of “The Hoop Collective Podcast,” MacMullen stated that four players have told her Iguodala will be a Laker:

“He’s going to the Lakers. I’ve had four different players tell me that. Every player I talk to tells me that.”

Iguodala would be a fine addition to the Lakers' rotation, as they could use some help on the wing. However, the Grizzlies are likely holding out, for now, in attempt to see what sort of deals might be offered from other interested teams. Memphis acquired a first-round pick from the Golden State Warriors for Iguodala, and it seems as though the team might be trying to avoid taking a loss on his $17 million contract.

“Iggy,” as he's come to be known, is an established veteran. A three-time champion, his presence on the bench alone would serve as a benefactor for just about any team. His production has tailed off a bit in recent season, but he could still serve as a capable reserve.

In his 68 appearances with the Warriors last season (13 starts), Iguodala racked up averages of 5.7 points on 50.0 percent shooting from the field (33.3 percent from beyond the arc), 3.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and just under one steal (0.9) in 23.2 minutes per outing.

Whether or not Iguodala will indeed wind up with the Lakers this season remains to be seen, but it certainly sounds like there's a chance.
