With news surfacing that Kawhi Leonard wants out of San Antonio, another report has quickly surfaced that he wants in with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Without burying the lede too much, here is the report on Kawhi Leonard supposedly wanting to go to not only the warm coast, but Los Angeles specifically.
San Antonio’s Kawhi Leonard has Los Angeles — preferably the Lakers — at the center of his preferences for a trade destination, league sources tell ESPN.

Notice in that Woj Bomb that it isn't only L.A. that is interesting to the Spurs forward, but the Lakers. In turn, Lakers fan must be more excited than that time they were good a few years ago.
I kid because I love.

It is worth noting that other reports, mostly those that reside in other bigger markets, are reporting similar things — though none are as strong as the one from Woj. As an example:
There are more than a few teams who can offer a better package to San Antonio for Kawhi than the Knicks can (assuming they don’t include Porzingis), but people close to Leonard have expressed a desire for Leonard to play in New York, per sources. https://t.co/CTs0ISkKXv

Nevertheless, with the initial reports coming out from roughly four different reports from four different outlets, it is pretty clear Leonard wants out of San Antonio. Generally speaking, mass texts/leaks only happen when positive news is coming out (in college basketball, as an example, player commitments). For negative news to all be leaked at once, presumably from his agent, means he's trying like heck to get out of dodge.
This story is developing quickly and is incredibly fluid. We will keep you posted as even more reports surface.
