NBA players take their NBA 2k ratings personally. And all for a good reason. Not only are they video gamers themselves but the NBA 2k rating has become a benchmark if they've done something good or not. Most of them receive news of their rating through social media. Some agree while others react violently. And recently, NBA 2k decided to share Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma's rating straight to his face.

Below is the video as posted by Ronnie 2k. As observed, he asked Kuzma what he thinks his rating should be. The Laker said that he should at least be an 84. But it seemed that NBA 2k feels that Kuzma still doesn't deserve that rating just yet.

See how he reacts when he found out that he was an 80.

Was Kuzma holding back disappointment? Or was he pleased with the relatively decent rating? During his rookie year, Kuzma was given a reasonable rating of 72. It was one of the lowest in the game. Yet during that time, no one really knew of Kuzma's capabilities. It was just throughout the season that fans got a taste of how good of a basketball player he really is.

Will the NBA 2k rating serve as motivation just like he said it will?
