After being pulled out from its original Charlotte destination, the 2017 NBA All-Star game has been left looking for a home.

As such, initiatives left and right are coming up in hopes of getting the league office’s nod to award the hosting rights to their respective cities.

Recently, Massachusetts lawmaker Bob DeLeo sent out a message on Twitter expressing his intent to bring the league’s mid-season spectacle to the state.

The Democratic House Speaker highlighted the fact that the state of Massachusetts fosters the exact opposite of North Carolina’s House Bill 2, which is viewed by many as discriminatory.

Since its inception, the NBA All-Star game has been held in the Boston Celtics‘ turf for a record number of four times. However, the last time it was played in the city was way back in 1964 at the fabled Boston Garden.
