The Detroit Lions and veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford are off to quite the hot start on the road against the rival Green Bay Packers. With the Lions and Packers matching up in Week 6's installment of Monday Night Football, Detroit is currently leading the way 10-0 after the first quarter despite being forced to overcome a rambunctious hometown crowd in Green Bay.

Aiding the Lions' early efforts against the Packers, Stafford was able to connect with wide receiver Marvin Hall to pick up 58 yards on this impressive play.

This should hardly come as a surprise for the Packers, however, as Stafford has been effectively tossing the football around for quite sometime now. Not only that, but the Packers have to play against Stafford and company twice a year.

“Matthew Stafford, I think he’s an elite quarterback,” Packers first-year head coach Matt LaFleur recently said, via USA TODAY Sports. “He’s a natural thrower. He’s extremely accurate and I’ve always – I haven’t really gone against him too many times on teams that I’ve been on but we all watch the same tape and he is just, I’ve always thought he is an elite quarterback.”

Heading into the Monday evening NFC North showdown, the Lions were sporting an unusual 2-1-1 record, which slotted Detroit in third place in the divisional standings. With Green Bay currently leading the way at 4-1, a loss against Detroit could tie them up with the 4-2 Minnesota Vikings. This division is far from settled, though, as the Chicago Bears sit at 3-2.
