Patrick Mahomes is a huge Dallas Mavericks fan, so imagine his reaction when he saw the Luka Doncic-less Mavs take down the Utah Jazz in Game 2 to even out their playoff series.

Unsurprisingly, Mahomes quickly took to Twitter to share how hyped he is for the win. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback knows how important the victory is to the Mavs' playoff hopes, so Jalen Brunson and co. actually pulling it off to make it 1-1 couldn't be more crucial.

Brunson stepped up for the Mavs in the game, dropping 41 points to make life hard for Donovan Mitchell and co. Maxi Kleber was equally phenomenal, terrorizing Utah from deep as he made eight triples on his way to 25 points.

The Jazz dominated the boards once again, but with their 3-point defense basically non-existent throughout the night, the Mavs feasted. Dallas hit 22 of their 47 attempts from beyond the distance. Meanwhile, Utah had no answer for that as they finished 11-of-29 from beyond the arc.

Dallas needs to replicate that kind of performance in Game 3 when they visit Utah. Of course it won't be easier as they head into a hostile environment with the possibility of their star player remaining sidelined still high. However, if it's any consolation, they have a ton of support behind them. Aside from Patrick Mahomes, even team legend Dirk Nowitzki is faithfully following the series.
