The Dallas Mavericks enjoyed a solid win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Dwight Powell was a big part of that success. However, it seems like his fantastic outing for the Mavs will lead him to be sidelined.

According to ESPN's Tim MacMahon, Powell headed to the locker room during the game while grabbing his left arm and looking in pain.

Powell was ruled as questionable to return to the game, which eventually ended his night. He finished the game with 24 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Fortunately for Mavs fans, an X-ray check on Powell's left arm turned out negative.

While he wasn't able to finish the game against the Timberwolves, Powell's 24 points were easily the highest among the Mavs.

It remains to be seen if Powell will be sidelined due to the issue, but it will certainly be a big blow to the team considering that they are just starting to gel.

Powell provides productivity on both ends of the floor, and he's a great pick-and-roll option that allows Luka Doncic to do whatever he wants to do. This time around, he was shooting perfectly on the floor before having to leave the game due to his injury.

The Mavs are currently 15-6 on the season, good for fourth place in the Western Conference.
