Mavs’ Luka Doncic shows off his quarantine beard

Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks is taken the opportunity in quarantine to grow out his facial hair, which is a new look for the normally clean-shaven 20-year-old.

At last checking, it seems that his Instagram followers were on board with the new facial mane, as 54 percent of the vote on his post stated that he should “leave” the facial hair intact – if not even grow it out more.

After an incredible rookie season in which the Slovenian phenom was named the Rookie of the Year, Doncic one-upped himself in the 2019-20 season by putting up some staggering numbers: 28.7 points per game, 9.3 rebounds per game, 8.7 assists per game and 1.1 steals per game.

In Doncic’s rookie season, the Mavs finished with a 33-49 record, which was 14th in the Western Conference, but with the addition of Kristaps Porzingis and the continued improvement of Doncic, the Mavs were sitting in the 2019-20 season with a 40-27 record, which was 7th in the West.

While the season sadly had to be shut down due to the ongoing coronavirus, Doncic’s brilliance on offense had the Mavs looking a tremendously tough out in the playoffs – had the playoffs ever occurred.

The Mavs had a staggering offense, with 116.4 points per game putting them third in the NBA, and Doncic was putting up his gaudy numbers while only playing 33.3 minutes a game.

The 2019-20 season may have ended abruptly, but Mavs fans can be glad that they have a young superstar for many years – and one that can easily grow a beard too!
