Luka Doncic secured another bag as he officially signed a five-year extension with the Dallas Mavericks worth a whopping $207 million. According to various reports, Doncic said there was zero doubt that he would extend his stay with the Mavericks.

There's no denying that Doncic is now the face of the Mavericks and arguably, even the entire NBA. His charisma and talent have surely mesmerized fans. His friendly personality has also endeared him to his teammates, including big man Boban Marjanovic. He and Doncic have forged an unlikely partnership since the NBA Bubble.

As Doncic signed his new deal, no one was happier for him than Marjanovic, reposting the welcome development on his Instagram Story, with a caption: “Congratulations to my brother!”

Since being drafted by the Mavericks in 2018, Doncic has transformed the team into a contender again, tallying a handful of NBA records along the way with his versatile game. They may have fallen short in the NBA Playoffs in back-to-back years, but it's worth noting that the sensation from Slovenia is only 22 years old. It's clear he's in it for the long run (via ESPN).

“I still kind of don't know what to say because I never imagined this happening. I was only dreaming to only play in the NBA, but now I can sign an extension with the Dallas Mavericks for five more years, which I never had a doubt about. I always wanted to sign this.”

Luka Doncic still has unfinished business. But maybe he can treat Boban Marjanovic to a nice feast first.
