As Dirk Nowitzki wraps up his farewell tour, many have reminisced about his most memorable moments in a Dallas Mavericks jersey. Between his 2006-07 MVP award, 2010-11 Finals MVP performance and countless other memories, the Mavs sharpshooter is putting a bow on a career filled with notable highlights.

However, one highlight in particular showcases more than just Nowitzki's basketball talents. Instead, it showcases his fun, bright personality both on and off the court. Let's throw it back to 2013, when Nowitzki had fun with a Sacramento security guard during an official review.

The date is January 10, 2013. Both the Mavs and Kings have struggled recently and are trying to snap losing streaks. It's late in the game and tensions are high. Dallas leads by two with 36 seconds left to play when a call goes to official review.

Dirk Nowitzki should be focused. This call could decide the game, and regardless of the outcome, he and the rest of the Mavericks will need to be on top of their game if they want to come away with a victory. So what was the Mavs' star big man doing?

He's talking with a security guard. Cameras catch the then-34-year-old joking around. He pretends to try to push past the security guard towards the officials, and the guard responds by playing tight defense against Nowitzki.

The stakes were high, but rather than take anything too seriously, Nowitzki was having fun. And if you asked the likely Hall of Famer, that's probably how he'd like his career to be remembered. The championship, the MVP award and the 14 All-Star appearances will get him to the Hall. But his pure love for and enjoyment of the game are his true legacy and will keep him a fan favorite in Dallas for years beyond his retirement.
