Former Chicago Bulls superstar Michael Jordan is making headlines, this time for a gigantic sale of one of his rare, signed cards after it shattered the record by selling for $1.4 million.

The Jordan memorabilia, especially cards, have skyrocketed over the past year since the release of  ESPN's “The Last Dance”, and this card broke the previous record for a Jordan card by over $500,000.

Jordan is the most famous basketball players ever and will go down as one of the greatest to ever play the game. After retirement, MJ has still been making loads of money, much in part to his worldwide Jordan brand.

The card is one of only 23 that were ever produced, and it features a signature and piece of Jordan's jersey that he sported during the All-Star game, according to TMZ Sports.

The sports card world has been growing more over the last couple of years after dying out for some time, and the ESPN release of Jordan's series re-ignited the market for Jordan fans.

The prices of these items should only increase as the years go by, so if you have some old sports gear lying around take a look inside and see what there is.

Michael Jordan won six championships with the Chicago Bulls and spent a couple of seasons playing with the Washington Wizards, and now Jordan owns his own NBA team, the Charlotte Hornets, as he continues to leave his mark on the game.
