A lot of the fans of the New York Knicks were happy following the news that came out about Phil Jackson‘s firing. Many felt that his presence has been detrimental to the team's success and that he's dragging the whole organization down.
Actor and comedian Michael Rapaport, who is a known supporter of the Knicks, was one of those who felt it was indeed time for the Zen Master to leave. He even took to social media to post a very NSFW message for Jackson, which goes to show his passion for the team, and how much he dislikes him.

Jackson's feud with Carmelo Anthony since this past season has been well documented, as he has not been shy in firing shots directed at him publicly. It has caused a lot of tension inside the locker room, which also brought a lot of negativity to the team. Some players have also hesitated to join the Knicks because of the infamous triangle system that he has been an advocate of.
Now that his time at the helm with the franchise is over, it can be considered a fresh start for the Knicks, who are now in the process of finding a replacement for Jackson.
