When it comes to the upcoming NBA Draft, not many teams may know about Luka Doncic as much as other players on draft boards.

But that's because Doncic is an international player. While being Slovenian, Doncic plays for Real Madrid in Spain. Doncic is thought to be one of the most underrated prospects in the draft because he plays oversees.

But now with video and the how ubiquitous the internet has become, Doncic could be one of the surprises in the NBA draft for a team that is good at doing its research.

In a recent interview, Doncic spilled the beans on a former NBA player from which he took many aspects of his game, per Eurohoops.net.

On being compared with Drazen Petrovic:

“Drazen Petrovic was amazing. He was a spectacular player. Everyone who knows him says that he was a very good person. I would take almost everything from his game. Especially his three-point shooting. He couldn’t miss. I would take it, for me (laughs).”

Petrovic, who was of Croatian descent, played six years in the NBA starting in the 1989-1990 season. He spent most of his time with the then-New Jersey Nets.

From the 3-point line, Petrovic shot 43.7% for his entire career. Those are astronomical numbers.

For Doncic to have taken the 3-point game from Petrovic is significant in today's NBA. The league is all about whether or not players at every position can shoot from beyond the arc, and it's a huge consideration for almost every team that is looking for draft picks.
