Niele Ivey, Jaden Ivey's mother, was the coach at Notre Dame as he grew up. Apparently his game was molded by watching the play of Skylar Diggins-Smith, Arike Ogunbowale and Jewell Loyd. All three of whom have grown into elite players in the WNBA.
Jaden Ivey hopes to have a similar impact at the NBA level.

The 2022 NBA Draft is less than an hour away and the excitement is palpable. The top three picks appear to be predestined. Although the specific order of Jabari Smith Jr., Chet Holmgren and Paolo Banchero is not yet known. But it is at the fourth pick where the fun is truly expected to start. Jaden Ivey, the Purdue Boilermaker standout guard, is the next projected pick.
Jaden Ivey previously made it known that he might not be the happiest landing in Sacramento, who currently owns the fourth pick. There are also questions as to how he could fit alongside De'Aaron Fox in Sacramento. That's led many people to believe the Kings might look to trade the fourth overall pick.
There is no shortage of teams that would love to acquire that pick. The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly interested in exchange for John Collins. There is little doubt that the draft is going to be exciting and full of surprises. All of that likely starts with Jaden Ivey.
