Several teams including a handful of playoff squads continue to jockey for position with almost a week away from the upcoming 2020 NBA Draft.

The Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, and the Dallas Mavericks look to give themselves a better opportunity to land the best prospects available by engaging in trade talks in hopes of ironing a deal in the NBA Draft.

Via Jonathan Givony of ESPN:

“Picks belonging to the Sacramento Kings (No. 12), Boston Celtics (No. 14), Wolves (No. 17), Dallas Mavericks (No. 18), Brooklyn Nets (No. 19) and Miami Heat (No. 20) are the most prevalent in trade conversations lately, per sources.”

A good number of promising guards and wings are still expected to be available in the NBA Draft after the top nine picks have been made.

The list is headlined by Devin Vassell, Killian Hayes, Aaron Nesmith, Tyrese Maxey, Precious Achiuwa, RJ Hampton, Kira Lewis, and Saddiq Bey are the most likely to land among teams in the top 20.

Aleksej Pokusevski, Cole Anthony, Jalen Smith, and Josh Green could also go that high, though their NBA Draft ranges appear to be a bit wider compared to the aforementioned names.

Trades made in the middle of the first round can certainly affect how the entire draft ultimately materializes with teams already saying it's proving to be surprisingly difficult to get a deal done because of the high asking price on the market.

With a relatively shallow free agency pool, the Heat, Celtics, and the Mavericks, among other teams, are still hoping to reload their arsenal by way of the NBA Draft instead with hopes of dethroning the reigning champion Los Angeles Lakers next season.
