Washington Wizards sharpshooter Davis Bertans has decided to sit out the Orlando restart, and Orlando Magic swingman Evan Fournier wasted no time in blasting his fellow NBA player.

Davis Bertans becomes an unrestricted free agent when the 2020 offseason period officially begins. He's expected to get a huge payday since he's one of the best stretch-four shooters in the NBA.

Players are concerned about getting hurt and/or contracting COVID-19 at the ā€œbubbleā€ games in Orlando, Florida. Guys are prone to get injured in Orlando because they haven't played games since March, so you can understand why someone like Bertans is hesitant to play given his two previous ACL tears.

However, Evan Fournier believes that the Latvian Laser is being selfish and doing a disservice to his Wizards teammates.

It will be interesting to see if more NBA guys decide not to play in Orlando. Odds are players from the top teams who have title aspirations won't sit out. However, we could see players from the lower-seeded teams pull out after Bertans made the bold decision on Monday.

The Magic and Wizards will be battling it out with the Brooklyn Nets for the final two playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. Brooklyn is in seventh place, Orlando is eighth and Washington is ninth.

Prior to NBA games getting suspended in March, Fournier averaged 18.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists while shooting 40.6 percent from beyond the arc for the Magic.
