The NBA and its players have been vocal about getting more people to vote and make their voices heard in the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election, and perhaps no player had used his platform for this purpose more than Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.
Aside from asking people to register to vote, James has also donated millions to help felons in Florida cast their votes, and has also used his social media pages to bring to light poor polling practices on Election Day. But aside from these examples, James has also used his massive platform to demand change, including a picture of Presidential candidate Joe Biden and Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris on Twitter and Instagram on Election Day to support the Democratic candidates.
James and President Donald Trump have a long history of taking jabs at each other online, with Trump recently getting a crowd to chant “LeBron James sucks!” at one of his final rallies before the election. But once the votes started coming in and the swing states of Georgia and Pennsylvania flipped blue and favored Biden after initially being led by Trump, the four-time NBA champion was all praises for the two states.
FACTS!!!! The accuracy is too real and i love!! Salute GA & PA! https://t.co/dwIOlPlQUH

The clip from the film Bad Boys 2 features Will Smith and Martin Lawrence pretending to members of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) and attending a cross-burning before revealing themselves to be law enforcement officers and crashing the event. James also praised the huge turnout of African-American voters, mentioned his More Than A Vote campaign, and encouraged them to stay organized and keep working.
Yup it’s US!!! Ready for that action! My people voted they asses off. ✊🏾💪🏾❤️ https://t.co/1I4qbMDn54

Aside from this, the four-time MVP appeared to take a final shot at Trump after he quote tweeted a video showing Trump's press conference where he made baseless claims about election fraud but refused to answer questions from reporters afterward, with one reporter memorably asking him, “Are you being a sore loser?” as he walked away.

It remains to be seen if Trump will have another say, but for now, not only has Biden surged ahead in two important states, but James has had the final say in their online battles.
