Retired NBA player Mike Miller managed to roast both Paul Pierce and himself in a single tweet on Thursday.

Miller posted a photo of himself going for a dunk during his playing days with the Miami Heat. His hilarious caption is clearly a dig at Pierce's latest controversial take involving Miller's former teammate LeBron James.

Paul Pierce has been taking heat as of late after claiming that the current Los Angeles Lakers superstar is not a top 5 player of all time.

Mike Miller, of course, was not considered a high-flyer during his 17-year career. His rather comical self-deprecation embodies just how ridiculous Pierce sounds most of the time.

The 6-foot-8 swingman is no stranger to “The Truth”, as he was a vital member of the back-to-back champions Miami Heat squad in 2012 and 2013. The Heat and the Pierce's Boston Celtics figured in a bitter rivalry at the time, but it was Miller's team that always came out on top.

Miller retired from the game in 2017 and has been working as an assistant coach for Penny Hardaway at the University of Memphis since 2018.

He won Rookie of the Year in 2001 with the Orlando Magic and was named the league's Sixth Man of The Year in 2006 while he was with the Memphis Grizzlies. Miller is known best for dependable marksmanship, posting career averages of 10.6 points on 45.9 percent shooting from the field, 40.7 percent from downtown, and 76.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Pierce, on the other hand, has been making erroneous remarks since taking an analyst role for ESPN. With that said, it's probably about time we retire his “The Truth” nickname for good.
