Rajon Rondo and Russell Westbrook have never been afraid to back down from altercations, so it's not surprising that the two NBA point guards got involved in a heated exchange in Friday's game between the Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards.

The two NBA veterans have been known for their trash-talking and fearlessness, and they didn't seem too happy on Friday. As a result, they both earned technicals while the referee had to break things up between them.

Rondo is in his first season in Atlanta after winning an NBA championship with the Los Angeles Lakers. Meanwhile, Westbrook is in his first year with the Wizards after requesting a trade out of Houston in the past offseason.

While both players haven't gotten off to the start they had hoped for, both individually and as far as the team goes, perhaps they took out their frustrations on each other. Trae Young had to hold Rondo back from confronting Westbrook even more, while it's worth noting that Russ figured into a verbal spat with John Wall earlier in the week.

Prior to Friday's game, Russell Westbrook is averaging 18.1 points with 9.7 rebounds and 10.2 assists. However, the Wizards have been one of the most disappointing teams in the NBA and sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference so far.

On the other hand, Rajon Rondo is averaging just 3.6 points with 2.3 boards and 3.9 assists after playing in only nine NBA games due to injury.
