Shaquille O'Neal picked an awful day to come in late. The Hall of Fame big man apparently had a bit of a mix-up with his schedule which caused him to come in late for NBA on TNT's pre-game broadcast of Tuesday's play-in games. Unsurprisingly, his crewmates on the show absolutely roasted Shaq for his indiscretion.
It was funny enough that a 7-foot-2 Shaq tried to sneak into his desk with the show already on air, but how Charles Barkley and the rest of the team roasted him was absolutely hilarious (h/t NBA on TNT on Twitter):
“You can’t sneak in at 7’2”.” 🤣

We're not sure if Shaq thought he could come in undetected, but that definitely did not happen. After all, he's literally the biggest man in the room. There's no way he could have sneaked in without being noticed. These are the times that being a 7-footer just does not pay off.
To be fair, Shaquille O'Neal did own up to his mistake and he apologized to the crew as soon as he arrived. Nevertheless, this did nothing to stop Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson from letting him hear it. O'Neal was clearly embarrassed so hopefully, this serves as a lesson for him in terms of always being on time.
Shaq and the rest of TNT crew was doing a pre-game broadcast for Tuesday's highly-anticipated slate of games. The Charlotte Hornets take on the Indiana Pacers, followed by a showdown between the Boston Celtics and the Washington Wizards to determine the seventh seed in the East. The loser of the Celtics-Wizards matchup will face off against the winner of the Hornets-Pacers game, with the winner of that one securing the eighth seed in the conference.
